The BC First Responders Mental Health Committee would like to thank everyone who participated in the first BC First Responders Mental Health Conference. From learning about resources to help support your team, to hearing from exhibitors and researchers and discovering new tools to support first responders, we hope the conference met your expectations. Thanks to you, this first of its kind conference was a resounding success and we hope you continue to build on what you’ve learned and foster the connections you’ve made.
We’d like to give a special thank you to our sponsors: our Diamond sponsor, the Mental Health Commission of Canada; our Gold sponsor, the Government of British Columbia; our Silver sponsor, FSEAP; and our Bronze sponsor, the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. We would also like to thank all of our exhibitors for attending and sharing valuable information. Finally, a big thank you to all of our speakers and presenters who are helping to improve the mental health of B.C.’s first responders.
The BC First Responders Mental Health Committee will continue to actively promote positive mental health and provide the leadership, best practices (resources, awareness, education, training, and supports) that first responders, their communities, and leaders need. Please continue to follow the work of the Committee and build on what you’ve learned at the conference.
The conference videos and presentations are now available to view or download on the individual speaker pages. Please note that only the ones that the speakers have given permission to post are available.
Presentation reference material
As promised, we have created a pdf list of materials referenced by our speakers during their presentations.
Take a look at some of our photos from the conference.
